Policies

Residents at all Wellbeing Residential Ltd homes are able to enjoy their later years in a comfortable, relaxed, friendly and caring environment, free from worries, whilst their families can be assured that their relative will be living in a manner that would correspond with life in their own home while receiving all the care and support needed.

Fees

Fees vary according to the room chosen and dependency of the resident. The final charges will be decided following assessment of needs and the choice of room. As a guide the charges start from £318 per week. Please visit the individual home web site.

Personal Possessions

All rooms are fully furnished but residents are encouraged to bring as much of their own furniture as possible. We are more than happy to put up shelves and as many picture hooks as necessary to make the room as homely and comfortable as possible. Residents are advised on admission that valuables retained are their own responsibility. They must arrange their own insurance for any items of value. A key is available for a safety box in each room.

Needs Assessment

To ensure that Wellbeing Residential Ltd can meet the needs of prospective residents, the Manager of each care home will visit to assess the care needs prior to admission. Prospective residents are encouraged to visit the Home with their families and if possible spend some time with other residents and staff. Short stays or participation in weekly events can be arranged to help the initial transition of the move. We appreciate that this can also be a very distressful time for the new resident and their families, the care teams at each home are highly skilled and sympathetic to such situations, and so be rest assured that at such a time, we endeavor to provide all the support.

At Wellbeing Residential Ltd we like our residents to feel at home and enjoy the comforts of a friendly atmosphere. Our social approach is also extended to resident’s guests and coffee, tea and cool drinks are offered to all visitors on their arrival or during their stay. Visitors are welcome to join residents at meal times, although a small charge may be made to cover the cost of the food.

Smoking Policy

We try to accommodate all our residents in fulfilling their personal needs and will strive for freedom of choice. That freedom of choice also extends to other residents who prefer a non-smoking environment. Wellbeing Residential Ltd does however have a policy of “NOT SMOKING” in the homes, but for smoking to be restricted to a designated area. Smoking in bedrooms is “UNSAFE” and is therefore “NOT” permitted under any circumstances.

Animals Policy

Wellbeing Residential Ltd welcomes resident’s pets, but each case is to be reviewed on admission. Residents must be responsible for the total care of their animal. Agreement would depend on any other animal that might be in the Home already.

Missing Persons Procedure

Wellbeing Residential Ltd is happy for residents to have their independence and freedom to enjoy the flexibility of an open house policy to come and go as they please. However, should a vulnerable resident appear to have gone missing it will be brought to the attention of the manager/owner in the first instance. A thorough search of the Home and grounds will commence at that time. If the resident cannot be found, the Home will contact the resident’s family or friends to advise on the position. The police will be informed and a wider search commenced. It may also then be necessary to inform Social Services & the CSCI.

Residents are encouraged to administer their own medication using their own records or Wellbeing Residential Ltd is happy to issue what has already been dispensed and record your medication in consultation with the resident or their representative, the community pharmacist and the residents doctor.
