Its always good to hear good comments about our homes. This is the latest one from Southernwood House.
Dear Sir/Madam,
This is a short note of sincere and heartfelt thanks for all the love and care shown to our mum, Mrs Jan Gibson, during her stay at Southernwood House, unfortunately she passed away in March of this year. Mum moved into Southernwood after staying at another care home where things did not go so well. The homely atmosphere and friendly staff helped mum settle in very quickly. The encouragement shown to mum to make full use of the garden there, I think was possibly her happiest time. She always loved gardening but had lost her confidence over the years due to the Parkinsons.
Nothing was too much trouble for your staff and even though life was very difficult for mum and she could be quite challenging at times, she became very close to the carers. In particular, Lesley, Shirley, Penny and Carmen and the kitchen staff Carl, Andrea and Sharon always had the time to chat with her and make her laugh.
Southernwood House is in, my opinion and my brother's the best and we would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. Your staff there are worth their weight in gold for their patience and kindness!!
